Beautiful. They seemed a little cheaper than or similar to other foil invites from other websites, and they had more foil actually on them than the other websites' products did. I did also get 20% off after ordering a sample, which definitely helped with the pricing. I loved how you can customize everything on the invite rather than just a few things like most other sites.

The envelopes were less customizable, but it all worked out in the end. These mostly came out good, but a few had some minor printing issues (like slightly faded letters). I also would have liked to be able to import addresses rather than requesting them via email or typing them in one by one, but that was not an option.

Lastly, I ordered 95 invites and RSVP cards and got more than I paid for of each (but in the end I had a different total # of invites than RSVP cards, which I found odd). Since I was not short on anything that was fine though.

I had looked at a number of highly rated invite places (which shall remain nameless) and was turned off by 1. the cost and 2. the lack of customization. As a budding graphic designer myself, I wanted the invites to feel like our own, with our personal touches incorporated into the design.

I had resigned myself to the DIY route (quite the task for the 150 invites I needed!) until I came across Basic Invite. I weighed the cost of the DIY; buying the card stock, the special envelopes, envelope sealers, labels for the addresses, the cost of actually getting them printed at a print shop and most importantly, the precious time and labor it would take this very busy bride to do all this for 150 invites against Basic Invite. Basic Invite won (the coupon definitely helped :-)) and I couldn't be happier with the end result!

Other places charge you an arm and a leg (IF they even offer the option in the first place) to add extra text to the invites. With the romantic gold foil invitations I chose, I was able to add several lines of text to accommodate the reception, venue addresses and RSVP information all on the front page. I was also able to set the background and font color to our wedding colors and choose different fonts for each section. And let me tell you, the end product was absolutely fantastic! The raised gold foil added an extra luxe touch and throw in the white-gold foil lined envelopes and I am a happy camper!

Not only did the invites exceed my expectations but Basic Invite went above and beyond with their customer service as well. I had an issue getting all the addresses I needed for the free envelope printing and did not want the few stragglers to delay my entire order. They went the extra mile with their customer service and my invites even arrived earlier than anticipated.

We had a great experience with Basic Invites! We wanted to create our own custom invites on canva because a lot of wedding invite websites didn't support features that we wanted, like full photo on the other side of the card, or QR code to the website. Basic Invites also seemed to be one of the few that 1) allowed us to use a high quality PDF instead of a jpeg 2) had slightly thicker paper for the envelopes (we ordered samples from other places and the envelopes were completely see-through!). Additionally we were so happy with the customer service after we needed a few addressed envelopes reprinted due to the font we selected slightly overlapping with the address line. If you do custom invites just remember to also update your own return address in the envelope edit stage, we almost missed this because the recipient address is done in the address book.

I was so impressed by the quality of the paper, as well as the beautiful design of these invitations.

Such a beautiful turnout for our invitations! My fiancé and I absolutely love how our invitations came out. Additionally, the quality of the invitations is truly exceptional. It's a thick cardstock material with just the right amount of glossiness. It fits our aesthetic perfectly.
