It's important to note that there is only one envelope that comes with the invitation. I made the mistake of thinking that printing the names and addresses on the envelopes was for the outer envelope and that inner envelopes would be included. I was wrong. They arrived with only one envelope which happened to be the size of an inner envelope, therefore, we had to have them completely reprinted. After contacting customer service, they were able to reprint the addresses on bigger outer envelopes and included blank inner envelopes. -

Love basic invite

My fiance and I LOVED creating our save the dates, wedding invites, and RSVP cards with the Medieval Library design. While their name is basic-the service and options are anything but. Most everything is customization and the turn around time is amazing.

We are having 2 ceremonies and worked with a different stationary vendor for the other invitations and it was painful. Wish we would have used this company instead. -
Excellent Invitations for the Price!

Pros: Much much less expensive than other services (looking at you, Minted) for a similar level of style. I think Shutterfly is comparable in price, but lacks the elegance of Basic Invite's options. 10/10 would recommend getting your wedding stationery from Basic Invite. I can't fathom spending tons of $$ on something people are eventually going to throw away. Also, the address tool worked beautifully for me and saved so much time and money by not having to hire a calligraphist or write them all myself.

Cons: The envelope liners I chose (avocado green with a black lettered monogram) was a nice touch, but I think the quality could've been a little better. There were very faint streaks in a good portion of them. I used them anyway, because I'm a pretty relaxed person about this whole wedding planning thing, but I know I would've been upset if I were a bit pickier. Also, I wish I would've been able to adjust the wording more easily. I wanted to add a line about my reception location and a line for RSVP'ing on our website and I did, but had to combine a couple lines which made it a little less neat. Lastly, I think adding an option for selecting an exact number of invites would be nice. I had to order 175 even though I only needed 167. Obviously its nice to have a couple extras, but I think that should be customizable. Oh also, I think a little bit more description about the invites would be nice. For example, a note about how you have to assemble everything yourself. Not a big deal to assemble, but would be nice to know. P.S. the website is a little glitchy, so be patient.
Overall: Save money for more fun stuff at the wedding and order from Basic Invite! I have zero regrets.
