I would like to retract my five star review of this item. Not only were all of my invitations returned/ lost due to the lack of information given, but the customer service here is AWFUL. They keep telling me that "additional postage" means extra postage (They should tell you that it means on top of regular postage, these invitations require 20 additional cents) instead of what they assured me it meant upon purchase- that the invitations themselves don't come with postage. Now they are refusing to refund my money after running my wedding.

Not only was the invitation we decided on perfect for us; simple & classy, without the frills & bows. We are going for a traditional wedding of black & white with a flair of marsala, blush & silver. These tones made for a spectacular look wedding invitation that was easy to tweak to our taste online. After ordering a sample, just to see how to final product would look, I got an email from the owner making sure I was receiving proper service and asked if I had any questions. The customer service alone would give this site a five star rating, but I believe the price is quite fair, and the products are brilliant.

We are pleased with our purchase, however the colors looked different on the computer screen than they did in person, so we were a little surprised when we received them because they didn't quite turn out the way we expected.

I liked this invitation, and chose it for its clean lines and classic looks. My wedding colors are gold, ivory, and mint blue - so I originally chose a dark gold font for the invitation. When the sample came the larger-font bride and groom names looked great, but because the "subtle overlay" on this card is gold, the smaller gold font almost disappeared against the gold in the background and was difficult to read. So I re-ordered another sample with a dark grey font, and it looks fantastic. I really love the fact that this invitation has a kind of gold heathered look over the top of whatever color you choose as the background. It was perfect for me. One last thing: I really love how with Basic Invite I can customize the font and wording on all of their invitations to be whatever I want. I'm doing things in a bit of a non-traditional way at my wedding, and have been so frustrated at the limitations placed by so many other sites in terms of wording, spacing, and font. Unlike the others, I could design the invitation to look and read almost however I wanted it to with Basic Invite. Great product, overall!

We had a great experience with Basic Invites! We wanted to create our own custom invites on canva because a lot of wedding invite websites didn't support features that we wanted, like full photo on the other side of the card, or QR code to the website. Basic Invites also seemed to be one of the few that 1) allowed us to use a high quality PDF instead of a jpeg 2) had slightly thicker paper for the envelopes (we ordered samples from other places and the envelopes were completely see-through!). Additionally we were so happy with the customer service after we needed a few addressed envelopes reprinted due to the font we selected slightly overlapping with the address line. If you do custom invites just remember to also update your own return address in the envelope edit stage, we almost missed this because the recipient address is done in the address book.
